How to avoid AMD related crashes on Ableton Live?
If you are experiencing crashes on Ableton Live whenever you try to add to a track either RANDOM, RANDOM Metal or LØW, and you're using some AMD hardware, this is likely due to a bug in Ableton and the way it handles openGL, the graphics library we use to render our plugins.
Fortunately, users managed to avoid these crashes by reverting to older AMD drivers using AMD's cleanup utility (https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/faqs/GPU-601.html) and installing back 25.10.2, which is the latest stable release as of the writing of this article (https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-25-10-2.html).
If that doesn't work, please contact customer support (support@beatsurfing.com), providing Ableton's crash reports.
